Phyllis Van Campenhout obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from McGill University and her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Alberta, graduating with distinction from both programs. She articled with the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and the firm of Cruickshank Karvellas, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1990.

She worked for 4 ½ years with the multi-national firm of Milner Fenerty, now Dentons. She established her own practice under the name of Phyllis Van Campenhout Prof. Corp. in 1996. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association.
